The holy Kaduvayil Mosque (built in 1985) accords to one of the ancient and famous one of its kind in Kerala, situated by the side of NH-47 in Thiruvananthapuram district. The centre of attraction is the holy Darga (Shrine) of the renowned Sufi Saint known as Kaduvayil Thangal Valiyullahi, one of the descendants of Prophet Muhammed (PBH). Everyday hundreds of devotees visit here for prayer and reverence.
Kaduvayil Thangal Charitable Trust (KTCT) popularly known as Kaduvayil Muslim Jama Ath Charitable Trust (Reg. No.38/94, IV/7/2008) is one of the greatest establishment in Kerala, which has been doing various functions in Social, Cultural, Educational, Spiritual, Medical fields etc. for the last 30 years. It is outstanding for its secular nature and its serving of the down trodden people in the society. KTCT has dedicated itself to the cause of education of the socially, economically and educationally backward section of the society. KTCT is also calculated as one of the major secular centre of South Kerala. The administration of the trust and co-related institutions are done by a committee including 31 members and this committee members are elected in a democratic way for every 3 years. By its systematic activities it could start many institutions in the Educational, Medical, Technical, Professional and Spiritual fields with the approval of both Central and State governments and all these institutions run successfully. The offerings and donations of the devotees and well-wishers is the main source of income of the trust.
In every year, in the month of March Trust authorities presents the budget of KTCT and other institutions into the Trust Committee. The 60% of the income will be reserved for the newly organised medical, spiritual and educational institutions. More than 700 staff directly and more than 500 staff indirectly are working in the various institutions of the trust. There is also three dimensional auditing system for the trust and so it can keep the accounts up to date and clarity.
KTCT Institute of Paramedical Sciences
KTCT conduct courses like DMLT and DHI by the approval of Kerala Govt. and State Paramedical Council. This institute bagging State First Rank in the annual examination of DMLT Course consecutively 4th time with 100% victory.
KTCT College of Teacher Education
It is one of the professional institutions of the Trust. B.Ed courses are approved by NCTE, Kerala University and Kerala Government. The main subject for the courses are English, Malayalam, Social Science, Maths, Physical Science and Natural Science. 100% victory is a continues process in this professional college.
KTCT Higher Secondary School
It was started in 1994. More than 3000 students are studying here from Play Class to Plus Two. In Plus Two section Computer Science, Biology Science, Computer Commerce and Humanities courses are conducting here. More than 230 staffs are working here. Engineering / MBBS Entrance Coaching are also provide for Plus Two students. Students bagged many outstanding prizes in the various State and National level competitions, that is a hallmark for the institution. The School also stands in a notable position of bagging cenpercent victory in 2012 SSLC Examination consecutively tenth time with a lot of Full A Plus. The school also obtained “Best School Award” in State Science Fair 2008-09 & 2009-10 and obtained “Best School Award” in District Level Science Fair consecutively fifth time from 2008 to 2012. More than 80 students participated in the 2012-13 State School Youth Festival held at Malappuram in various items and it is the largest school team from Trivandrum district.
KTCT Computer Training Centre started in 1998. There are more than 35 computer courses and all the courses are approved by C-Dit, Govt. of Kerala.
KTCT Orphanage (Yatheeemkhana) started in 1998. The Trust provide proper care, Educational and all other aids for the orphans.
KTCT Swalahiya Islamic University which started in 1988 provides religious and social education.
With the affiliation of National Institute of Open School SSLC, Plus Two and Degree open school classes conducted for orphans and Arabic College Students at KTCT Open School.
KTCT Offset Printing Press for the Trust does all the printing works for the institutions belongs to KTCT and outside institutions also.
KTCT Auditorium conducts various cultural activities and important functions of KTCT and its institutions . It is also given for the marriage and other functions of the public.
KTCT College of Advanced Studies (Kerala University approved Learners’ Support Centre) started in November 2012. Degree & PG courses - BA (Eng), BCA, BSc (Computer Science), MA (Eng), MHRM are conducting here.
KTCT School of Nursing started in March 2009 with the recognition of both Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nursing & Midwifery Council. GNM Course (3 1/2 years) is conducting here.
Inside the Kaduvayil Muslim Jama Ath Trust boundary there is also a Central Madrasa and five Branch Madrasas including morethan 600 students in various locations of the trust for promoting religious studies for the students of this locality.
Other Courses like BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, MSc MLT, BBA, MBA, Engineering Courses, CBSE School are likely to start shortly. Along with this the Trust emphasizes the need for the Social Welfare and Charitable activities for the public.
